Introduction to flue gas cooler:


The flue gas cooler, also known as the heat pipe air preheater, is composed of a heat conducting tube as the core heat transfer element. High temperature flue gas washes the heat absorbing end of the heat pipe, causing the heat pipe medium to evaporate into gas and flow towards the cooling end. At the cooling end, it condenses and releases heat, heating the air. Hot air is supplied to the boiler through pipelines.


Smoke cooler - capable of:


1. Both cold and hot fluids flow outside the heat pipe, and both sides can be strengthened with fins, resulting in high heat transfer efficiency, compact volume, low pressure drop, and low resistance loss, thus saving power consumption for blowers and induced draft fans.


2. The hot side (flue gas side) and cold side (air side) of the heat pipe are separated by partitions, and there is a reliable seal between the heat pipe and the partition. Therefore, the possibility of leakage between air and smoke is very small, which overall reduces the possibility of wind.


-The exhaust gas temperature of gas boilers is generally between 160-250 ℃, and the water vapor in the flue gas is still in an overheated state, making it impossible to condense into liquid water and release latent heat of vaporization. Due to the fact that the boiler heat rate is generally calculated based on the lower heating value of the fuel, less consideration is given to the thermal energy loss caused by the higher heating value of the fuel and the latent heat of vaporization. Function of flue gas cooler:


The flue gas cooler is an energy-saving equipment used in fuel and gas boilers, suitable for vertical and horizontal steam boilers, hot water boilers, and thermal oil furnaces. It is installed on the boiler flue and can efficiently recover waste heat from flue gas to improve boiler heat efficiency. The heat transfer element is welded into the flue of the device. With the passage of high-temperature flue gas, the heat is quickly transferred to the softened water inside the pipe, and then the high-temperature softened water is sent to the water storage tank. The temperature of the softened water rises to about 90 ℃ (depending on the exhaust temperature of the boiler), and then it is injected into the boiler or hot water area through the feedwater pump. The hot water enters the boiler and quickly generates steam, thereby reducing fuel consumption and achieving the goal of energy conservation.


Requirements for waste heat recovery of flue gas cooler:


With the development of our economy and the increasing demand for environmental protection, more and more oil and gas boilers are being put into use- The energy-saving policies and standards introduced by the family have put forward requirements for energy conservation. Due to the increasing shortage of oil and gas resources and the significant increase in fuel costs for users, it is increasingly urgent to improve the efficiency of boilers. There are ways to utilize the waste heat from boiler exhaust gas. The exhaust temperature of the boiler directly affects the economy of the boiler unit and the safety of the tail heating surface operation. Choosing a lower exhaust temperature can reduce the exhaust loss of the boiler, which is beneficial for improving the boiler heat rate, saving energy and operating costs. However, the decrease in exhaust temperature leads to a decrease in the heat transfer temperature and pressure between the tail heating surface, the flue gas, and the working fluid, an increase in heat transfer area, metal consumption, and initial equipment investment.
